Review By Darren McIntyre
Girish & The Chronicles are a 4 piece hard rock / heavy metal band from Sikkim, India who originally formed in 2009 but are now based in Bengaluru, Karnataka and have been there since 2013. The boys have given us Rock The Highway in 2020, Hail To The Heroes in 2022 & Back To Earth in 2023, this has allowed them the opportunity to open for the likes of Nazareth, Skid Row, Kamelot, Bonfire, Mike Tramp, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Bullet For My Valentine, Billy Talent & Alterbridge, they have also appeared @ Winterstorm in Troon where they went down incredibly well. The boys release their new album Disintigrate on the 20th Novemberand from that comes new single Fading Away which I will be reviewing for you today.
Fading Away – The track begins with a real sweet harmonious, melodic vocal tone as the guitar riffs kick in the doors and let us have it both barrels as this smouldering number erupts into life. The rhythm section is commanding the room as the punchy snare kicks let the track breathe as the boys shift through the gears and let us feel the raw energy pouring through the arrangement, the funky, dark low end is really hitting us with a real sludy groove that sets the tone for this foot stomping bruiser. The twin guitar riffs really allow the track the room to grow as the growing vocals work their magic as this killer track builds and builds as a mesmerising guitar solo fills the air with sheer magic as the boys deliver something special and if the track is anything to go by I cannot wait fro the album.
