Dead Reynolds – Delivering A Powerful Message

Hailing from East Anglia, Dead Reynolds are all about big melodies, plenty of energy and songs that come from real-life experiences. Their music takes in elements of alternative rock and pop punk, with anthemic choruses and the occasional unexpected twist thrown in for good measure. 

They are-

There is more to their music than simply writing a catchy rock song though. Their recent releases have tackled subjects including mental health, addiction, and loss, giving their songs a more personal side and allowing them to connect with listeners who may have experienced similar things themselves. 

Their sound is likely to appeal to fans of bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, Those Damn Crows, Yungblud, Feeder, Massive Wagons, and Papa Roach. That’s quite a melting pot of sounds to take inspiration from, and gives you a pretty good idea of the influences that have helped shape Dead Reynolds’ sound. 

Dom from Dead Reynolds says of the song, “Times are tough, the world is a scary place and sometimes you just need someone that believes in you. Someone who will be there, to take your hand and stop you from drowning in whatever it is that is filling your lungs, your brain and your whole being with negativity. There’s no shame in asking for help, but we often don’t until its too late! This is a high octane fuelled song with a message of hope and promises that higher powers are always near and ready to renew your strength and guide you through hard times” 

This song beats you around the ears from the start, digging right in and setting the scene around the lyrics. It has an intensity that drives it forward and is hard to ignore, especially with the subject matter. There’s a heavy drum beat that emphasises the feelings and emotions ebbing and flowing throughout the track, while the riffs add even more energy as the song builds. 

There’s a real sense of urgency, which works particularly well with its subject matter. It’s dealing with some pretty heavy emotions, but rather than making the song feel weighed down by them, Dead Reynolds have given it a driving energy that keeps pushing things forward. The vocals sit well within the music, delivering the lyrics with the sort of feeling the subject deserves. The pounding drums and riffs give the track plenty of force but woven through all of that is a reminder that you don’t have to face the difficult times alone, and Dead Reynolds make sure that reminder is shouted loud and clear.
