Alessandro Del Vecchio is a regular guest on Jace Media Music’s interviews, and for good reason: he’s been a writer and producer for several melodic rock groups and projects for years and a full-time creative driving force and contributor for several others, including Taz Taylor Band and Sweet Oblivion featuring Geoff Tate.

A recent career shift has enabled him to focus more on the most prominent of them all: Jorn Lande, Vanden Plas, Edge of Forever, Sunstorm, Progject and Hardline.
The last of which is why he’s joining us in this interview, as Hardline’s new hard rock album, Shout, will be available April 17 via Steamhammer/SPV, marking the quintet’s debut with the longstanding rock/metal label.
Fronted by singer Johnny Gioeli (also known for Crush 40 and Axel Rudi Pell), Hardline features Del Vecchio on keys, Luca Princiotta (guitars), Anna Portalupi (bass) and Marco Di Salvia (drums).
Del Vecchio and I have been virtual pals for years covering many of the aforementioned groups, and we’ve even hung out in Manhattan for a rare appearance. This time, we’re catching up on Hardline’s newest chapter and rebirth, why Shout is a bit of a heavy throwback to the band’s early days, and the excitement surrounding a full itinerary of tour dates that include festivals that will also lead into the fall.
Song clips: “Shout”, “Rise Up”, “Welcome To The Thunder”
