Kickin Valentina is visiting their second home – the UK – during the release of their new LP, Anthems From the Underground, available from Mighty Music and Target Group DK.
The American hard rock quartet has toured British and European festivals and clubs frequently in the past few years and is back for weeks of shows in late August and September. As they were checking into a hotel ahead of their appearance at the Stonedead Festival in Newark, UK, I had a chance to check in with bassist Chris Taylor and guitarist Heber Pampillon.
We talked about how the songs on Anthems are being debuted live on this tour. We also discussed what it’s like to discover such a rabid fanbase half a world away from their homes and the excitement of paying both intimate club shows and headbanging festivals.
And as you will see, toward the end of the interview, drummer Jimmy Pardine and singer D.K. Revelle (whom we last saw in 2025) pop in for cameos.
