Loz Campbell took the stage next, delivering a performance that was both high-energy and flawlessly executed. Loz’s charismatic presence, combined with the band’s tight musicianship, made for a set that was as visually captivating as it was musically impressive. Highlights included classic tracks that had the crowd singing along, as well as a memorable moment when Loz stood on the guitarist’s legs during a solo—a classic move that only added to the spectacle.
Doomsday Outlaw returned to the stage after a few years away, and their performance was well worth the wait. With a stage presence that commanded attention and music that blended soulful lyrics with hard-hitting rock, they proved why they’re a force to be reckoned with. Phil’s soulful voice, paired with the band’s powerful sound, created a perfect package that had the crowd in awe. Lawrence Jones was another new name for many, but by the end of his set, it was clear he’s a star on the rise. His guitar playing was nothing short of magical, drawing comparisons to legends like Eric Clapton. The way he made the guitar sing was truly mesmerizing, and the crowd was captivated by his skill. It’s only a matter of time before Lawrence becomes a major name on the blues circuit.
Kira Mac continued to impress with her powerful voice and high-energy show. Having photographed her several times this year, I can confidently say she never disappoints. Her set was packed with fast, hard-hitting songs that kept the energy levels high. The introduction of two new tracks from her upcoming album was a highlight, and the heavier sound hinted at an exciting new direction for Kira. She’s clearly going from strength to strength, and it won’t be long before she’s headlining arenas.
The Last Internationale was a revelation for many at the festival. Despite being new to many in the crowd, they quickly became the talk of the day with a show-stealing performance. The chemistry between guitarist Pires and vocalist Delila was electric, with her silky vocals perfectly complementing his ripping riffs and screeching solos.
