Parker Barrow are a blues-infused Southern rock outfit from Nashville, Tennessee, who originally came to our attention in 2023 with the release of their debut album, Jukebox Gipsies. The band take their name from Bonnie Parker & Clyde Barrow, who were the infamous bank robbers in the 1930s Great Depression. The band have been honing their live groove with support slots to Robert Jon & The Wreck, Them Dirty Roses, The Kentucky Headhunters & Feel. The band have been hard at work in the studio bringing us their colossal new EP Hold The Mash, and to celebrate this epic slab of rock ‘n’ roll, the band hit the road to bring us their infectious brand of classic rock, and tonight they stop off in Glasgow to bring their groove to town. the place is filling up nicely as the lights dim and the intro of Come On In My Kitchen blares through the house PA the band saunter onstage and launch into –


Make It – The band are setting up as the backing track leaves us, and the Southern rockers let us into their secret that they are about to unleash upon the fine folk of Glasgow. Megan unleashes her incredible vocals that let this foot-stomping groover soar as the snare drum punches fill the air as the bass kicks ooze from the stage; the twin guitar riffs are letting the track breathe as the cool, swanky keys come at us as we get into this storming 6-piece as they set out their stall and let us have it both barrels. The place is really getting into this killer band as they hit the ground running and let us have a good ol dose of rock and roll that shakes the cobwebs away on a Monday night. the funky bassline is dropping in and wrapping itself around us with its deep, mellow tones that just allow the track to hit us with all it has as we let Megan introduce the next track in the form of –



Glass Eye Cryin’ – The track begins with a sweet, melodic guitar riff as the rhythm section leans in and really gives the track depth, swagger and lots of attitude as the band hits the ground running. Megan lets her incredible Janis Joplin vibes wrap themselves around this fantastic number as the band really gives us all they have with this gritty, blues-soaked bruiser that grabs our attention. The Hammond-style keys are really elevating the track as it brings a raspy, dark, melodic feel to the number as the band just settles into their stride and just offloads with a killer beat that tells us what this band is all about. The band are giving us a real melodic, raspy beat that just tells us that this outfit are going to be a band to watch out for as they really bring the noise to Glasgow tonight. I can tell you that this crowd look stunned as they take in the killer vocals, melodic grooves and epic musicality that is being handed to us tonight. we catch our breath as Megan thanks us for coming out to jam with them on a Monday night. coming at us next –

Don’t Tell Mama (What Mama Don’t Know) – This is a real bluesy, dirty-riffed piece that begins with a killer Hammond-style keys lick that allows the rhythm section to kick in the doors and bring us a track that has us salivating at the prospect of this awesome 6-piece leaving their mark on Glasgow tonight. The phenomenal vocals reach every corner of this venue as the band dig deep and hit us with a real swanky, mellow, blues-infused rock ‘n’ roll track that grabs our attention as the boys step forward and offload with a cool, crisp solo that lets the track flow freely through this incredible groover track. The snare drum punches are raining down on us as Dylan brings the groove to us tonight as the band leans in with sweet backing vocals that allow Megan to bring her incredible vocals to this smokey blues beast as we stroll into –


Throwing Stones – A crunching, gritty, blues-soaked guitar lick wanders through the intro as Megan leans in and hits us with her phenomenal vocals that shatter the night air. The keys are littered throughout the arrangement as the band brings the groove to us with this killer piece that lets the boys hit us with soothing backing vocals that really let the track breathe. We are getting a dirty, blues feel that is like walking into a blues club and hearing this awesome tone smack you round the face as the band leaves everything out there as a rousing, meaty guitar lick weaves its way through the track and lets the sizzling keys build and build as the band shifts through the gears and offloads with precision tones that tell us that this is a band to keep an eye on as they continue their rise to the top with a dazzling, daring display that we don’t want to stop. The epic licks are working wonders on this crowd, as they are standing still and soaking up all the blues rock that they can handle. Let me tell you, we catch our breath and feel the energy soaring through the venue as Megan and the boys show us some love and again thank us for coming out to support a little ol band from Nashville, Tennessee which draws a huge cheer. up next –


Healer – We return with a sleazy, bluesy guitar lick that grabs our attention as the snare drum punches fill the air as Megan kicks in the doors with her incredible vocals that let this track cut loose and really shake us to our very core. The Band came, saw, kicked ass and handed us a lesson in blues rock that lifted the roof clean off of Oran Mor tonight as we witnessed a ‘miracle’ tonight as this band really dished out a dose of Southern hospitality that just left us wanting more from this incredible bunch of musicians as they delivered our asses on a plate, let me tell you. The Hammond-style keys that are gracing the stage really elevate this foot-stomping groover as the boys just celebrate with us and show us what it means to them for us showing up and supporting them as they continue their meteoric rise to the top of the blues rock machine. we are hurtling through the set as Megan introduces the guys and lets us show our appreciation ofor this killer bunch of musicians as we stroll into –

Novocaine – A killer, funky, melodic keys section lets this track come to life as Bo leans in and brings us meaty, dark, delicious grooves as Megan introduces the track as we feel the energy oozing from the stage. Megan unleashes her incredible vocals that reach every corner of this cool venue as the thundering rhythm section kicks in the doors with a solid snare drum beat that has bass kicks and cymbal crashes that let the soulful piece leave its mark on the fine folk of Glasgow. The band are really feeling the love from us tonight as they dig deep and offload with precision as this glorious groover builds and builds as the soaring vocals really grab our attention as we let the colossal tone ease its way through the gig tonight. The slick, crisp guitar riffs are weaving their way through the venue as we let this 6-piece juggernaut crash right through the heart of Glasgow tonight and let us know that they will be back sooner than we think. the crowd are feeling the love as we roll into the last track of the evening in the form of—

Count Your Dollars – We finish off tonight’s epic show with a real gritty, blues-soaked number that lets the guys deliver a funky, meaty track that just puts a smile on our faces. The slick, soulful Hammond-style keys are wrapping themselves around this glitzy rocker track as Megan unleashes her powerful, melodic vocals that let the track grow. We have a cool, punchy bass kick that works well with the snare drum beats as the cymbal crashes tell their own story as the band shifts through the gears and lets us have everything they have. The place is rocking and rolling, and they are fixed on the stage as the boys look out and see all the smiling faces as they let us know that they appreciate us coming out tonight. I was fortunate to chat with Megan, Dylan & Alex before the show, and they were excited to see what Glasgow was all about. I will tell you that the merch queue was massive to grab a piece of these Nashville rockers, and boy, let me tell you, if you missed it, shame on you.


The roof will need fixing before the next show as Parker Barrow came in, rocked with us and left, what a show, what nice people and roll on the next time they are back.
