Review by Linda McDermott

Formed in South Yorkshire in late 2019, Dead Demons are a four-piece heavy rock and metal band bringing grit, power, and passion to every stage they play. Known for their hard work and full-throttle live energy, they’ve steadily built a loyal fanbase across the UK.
Since their debut, Dead Demons have earned a solid reputation on the live circuit, appearing at events such as Call of the Wild, SOS Festival, Mountains of Metal, and SavFest, and reaching the Metal 2 the Masses finals for Bloodstock. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with respected names including Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Wolfsbane, The Treatment, Fury, and Blaze Bayley.
A new chapter began in 2024 with the arrival of frontman Paul Lowson, marking a fresh creative spark for the band. Their 2025 singles, ‘Evolution’ and ‘Fight Back’, showcase their heavy, hook-driven sound, with more to come on an upcoming EP, set for release in 2026. The next single, Where There’s A Will There’s A Way, drops on the 3rd of January, marking the start of the year for them.
The band say the track “was born from the frustration of hearing about young teenagers, and even younger, committing devastating crimes against each other on the streets and in schools, and the devastated families left behind. Hopefully, one day, knife amnesties and the laws around knife crime will be sufficient to lessen the culture that is so prevalent today. Be the one in the crowd to shout out loud: Don’t take a life today.”
Listening to the track, it grabs you straight away as Chris, Pete, and Jonny step into the spotlight with tight, confident work on guitar, bass, and drums. The three of them set a driving pace that pulls you in before Paul’s vocals arrive and lift the whole thing even further.
The harmonies slot in neatly without ever feeling forced, adding just the right amount of lift as the chorus rolls round, and it’s one you can easily find yourself singing along to after only a couple of listens. Throughout, Chris drops in cracking guitar solos that feel perfectly placed, adding flair without breaking the momentum. What I like most is how naturally the band settle into their strengths; they know exactly what they’re doing, and it shows. It’s lively, memorable, and carries that unmistakable stamp of a group who connect. It’s a classic track that doubles up as a statement of intent, gearing the band up for a strong and promising start to the new year
