Review By Darren McIntyre
The Vincenzos are a rising, genre-fusing band formed in Los Angeles, California. After meeting at a popular Culver City open mic night, the group quickly found a life-altering musical chemistry. The boys have been steadily releasing music that blends rock, punk & Americana into a raw yet melodic sound that is steadily gathering them a new legion of fans. The boys release their new cinematic rock Americana groover, Lay Down, which I will be reviewing for you today.
Lay Down – A cool, snazzy synth intro comes at us as the rhythm section brings a solid snare kick that has cymbal snaps that allow the groove to flow freely through the track. The mellow, dark vocals are easing through the track as a crunching guitar lick accompanies a dark, brooding bassline that gives the track depth, emotion and bags of attitude. We have sweet, melodic vocals that flow effortlessly through this haunting, dark track that, although short, captures your thoughts from the very first note. The boys are certainly fusing rock, punk & Americana as this melodic piece grabs our attention and lets us go along for the ride.
