Laura Cox is an Anglo-French guitarist/singer/songwriter who came to prominence in 2008 when she achieved international recognition on YouTube as a standalone guitarist. Laura first picked up a guitar aged 14 and began to find her rhythm and style and the rest, they say, is history. Laura has given us Hard Blues Shot in 2017 as Laura Cox Band; she ventured out on her own and brought us Burning Bright in 2019 and Head Above Water in 2023 as Laura Cox and on the 31st October she delivers her colossal new album Trouble Coming. From that, she has given us No Need To Try Harder, & today she follows that with her blistering new  previously unheard single. 

Not Your Story – A cool, fuzzy guitar riff weaves its way through the intro as Laura lets her almost-spoken lyrics flow freely through the track as the funky, meaty groove unfolds as we get the picture from this incredible musician. The keys are leaving their mark as this crunching arrangement builds and builds as Laura takes us on the journey with her as this kick-ass track tells its own story as the slick, crunching guitar licks erupt and let the groove wrap itself around us as the foot-stomping beat gets the track moving. The mesmerising blues-soaked guitar licks are just letting the tone wander freely through the composition as Laura lets the lyrics wrap themselves around us as she just delivers a real thought-provoking track that really grabs our attention.
