Andry Lagiou is a singer / songwriter / guitarist from Athens, Greece who has been described as the missing link between Ronnie James Dio & Christina Aguilera. Andry is a former runner up on The Voice Of Greece & former frontwoman of Harps, Andry has decided to embark on a solo career as herself with a full band of awesome musicians and delivered to us her debut record Skies, Andry is out on tour at the minute on her The Mistress Tour Vol II. Tonight Andry stops off at the world famous Garage to bring us a night of mystery & unforgettable music, please settle in as I review her blistering show. As the lights dim and the intro music booms from the house PA the band saunter on stage as we welcome Andry as she launches into –

Mistress Of The Night – Hans gets things up and running with a thundering intro as the rhythm section brings the groove as haunting synth keys linger through the intro. Andry steps forward with her encrusted horn mask as the beat oozes from the stage as the gig bursts into life as we welcome this Mistress Of The Night, the boys are really giving it their all as the dark, brooding bassline comes in and really delivers a full on groove that works so well in this fast paced, punchy groove laden track. Andry lets her soaring vocals fill the air as the place warms to the sight of this fantastic musician as she quickly finds her feet as a slick, clean guitar lick rains down on us as this blistering opener really blows the cobwebs away. The place has really taken to Andry as the boys settle into their stride and bring us a cool thundering opener, up next –

Skies – A thundering double bass kick erupts into life as a sweet, melodic guitar riff brings the heat as this symphonic number kicks in the doors and really gives us what we came for tonight. The soaring vocals again shatter the silence as Andry brings the mystery to this epic number as the band leans in and brings the tone to this furious paced rock n roll number, the synth tones are littered throughout the track as we feel the swift melodies wash over us as we really get intio this fantastic musician. We have a slick, sharp guitar solo that fills the air as we are drawn to the pounding rhythm section as it controls the groove from the back of the room with it’s intense tone as this classy number builds momentum as we just settle into this fantastic performer as she delivers on every level. we are hurtling through the setlist as we roll into –

Black Hole – A searing, mesmerising guitar lick opens the track with sheer ease as the rhythm section follows behind and really gives the track some swagger as it builds and builds. The soulful, impressive vocals wander in as the track brings attitude, and soul as the killer snare drum punches really let this track breathe as the groove just hits us with this pouting, ballad, rocker  track that just comes for us, the killer low end is handing us cool, dark, delicious tones as this haunting number flows freely through the hall tonight as the band is just enjoying themselves as they let us have it both barrels. The synth tones are adding real depth to this mesmerising number as we are transfixed on the stage as Andry really works the crowd and we respond with horns in the air and a foot stamping seal of approval, the place is really getting into this colossal young musician as she really brings the mystery to Glasgow tonight, up next –

My Love – Cool haunting piano tones flow from the intro as we feel the magic coming at us right now as a sweet, clean guitar pick lets the track open and soar. Andry lets her impressive, moving vocals lead the way as this killer ballad rises and really lets us feel her passion as she drives this classic number onwards, the rhythm section is coming through with cool snare drum punches that just allow the track to wander effortlessly through the venue tonight as we sway from side to side as Andry & the boys really dig deep and bring us a real thought provoking number that is allowing Andry to showcase her colossal vocals. The track is full of emotion and killer lyrics that stop us in our tracks as the band settles into their stride as the groove awakens as the slick, clean solo rains down on us as this fantastic track gets a seal of approval from this swelling, rowdy Glasgow crowd, we are tearing through the set as we come to –

Good Trip To Hell – A pounding snare drum beat gets the track off the ground as a slick, clean guitar riff lets rip and gets us moving with it’s foot stomping, fist pumping groove as the synth keys leave their mark. The killer vocals are really taking the track to another level as we feel the energy oozing from the band as they bring us a real mixture of tracks that lets every musician tell their own story, the full onn bassline is hitting us with cool, fank laden tones that just wrap themselves around this punchy track as Andry leans in and lets her soaring, soulful vocals take the track onwards. The band are being well received as they look really comfortable running around the hallowed Garage stage and bringing us their killer set, the rhythm section is commanding the room with it’s punchy, pounding double bass kicks that adds depth and attitude to this slick, melodic number that is surrounded by the impressive soaring vocals of Andry as we stroll into the fantastic –

Church Bells – Andry introduces the band tonight as they get a huge cheer before this punchy, pounding monster makes it’s appearance as the bassline wanders in and really lays down a groove. The synth tones are flowing freely through the track as Andry leans in and offloads her soaring, symphonic vocals that really let this track sing, the tempo changes pace as the thundering rhythm section ups the anti as this fantastic track really gets the crowd going as we feel the energy oozing from the stage tonight. The slick, clean synth keys add depth to this fast, furious number as we step up the groove as the boys just drop the hammer and let the crowd know they are back and back to entertain us tonight, as the place settles into a cool, mellow affair Andry introduces us to the last number of the night –

Burn( Deep Purple Cover) – The unmistakeable riffs oozes from the stage as the thundering rhythm section leans in a delivers a killer groove that lets this awesome track come to life. Andry lets her incredible vocals tell their own story as this classic track gets a real makeover as the tone really pops as the synth tones lend themselves and really let the track shine, the crisp, shredding riffs are just on the money as the track gathers pace and just allows the band to put their own spin on this phenomenal track. A cool solo bursts out as we watch the stage with our eyes fixed on Mickey as he works the fretboard with eas as the killer synth tones work so well with this classic number as it builds and builds with ease as the band just kicks ass with their take on this awesome track.
