Review By Darren McIntyre
Eranaes is the brainchild of Stephan Lipp (ex DeVicious, Second Reign & Ferris McFoley) from Switzerland, who came to our attention when he recorded After The Rain with Margarita Money & keys legend Derek Shernian. Eranaes describes the project as not just a band; it’s a playground of sound, rooted in rock & melodic metal, who is not afraid to wander into unexpected territories. Eranaes takes a bold step into disco-rock territory, fusing heavy riffs with irresistible grooves; he brings us his new rock-groover Living For The Night which I will be reviewing for you today.
Living For The Night – TheNight,Night – The track opens with a punchy drumbeatthat is infused with synth tones and a full-on bassline that really lets the track sizzle with a real 80s disco groove. We have melodic vocals that bring in a soulful backing tone that just allows the track to really explore the disco beat that just works so well with this fist-pumping, foot-stomping beat that is flowing freely through the track as the musicality builds and builds as the spoken lyrics kick in and really let the tone wrap itself around us as this funky, rock groover lets the sizzling keys work their magic as the arrangement really gives us a crisp, clean tempo that will have us reaching for the repeat button for sure.
