JLS – O2 Arena Review

Review and Photos by Damien Harvey

Walking into the O2 Arena on 28th November 2025 felt electric, but this night was more than just another tour date; it was historic. JLS had officially entered the O2’s prestigious 21 Club, marking their 21st headline show at the iconic London venue. This was the first of two sold-out nights, and you could feel the pride radiating from the stage before the boys even appeared.

The Club Is Alive Tour, JLS’s sixth major tour since their 2008 X Factor days, kicked off in classic JLS style. One by one, JB, Oritsé, Marvin and Aston popped up at the back of the stage just before starting The Club Is Alive, pausing just long enough for the crowd to erupt before launching into the night. They wasted no time firing into Do You Feel What I Feel and Hottest Girl in the World, complete with the debut of the night’s pyro. As someone photographing the first few songs, In that moment it wasn’t just the hottest girl in the world… It was the hottest photographer in the world.

The setlist was packed with crowd favourites like Eternal Love and Eyes Wide Shut. At one point, the audience got to choose between That’s My Girl and Only Tonight. That’s My Girl took the vote, but in true London-exclusive fashion, they performed both anyway, much to the crowd’s delight.

Mid-show, Marvin stepped behind the decks for a DJ set that turned the O2 into a full-blown Friday-night club. Usher’s OMG, Taio Cruz’s Dynamite, and Flo Rida’s Low – the place was bouncing. Then Aston appeared, crutches and all, proving again why fans adore him. Despite breaking his foot, he insisted on staying on the tour and even took over the DJ decks himself. The admiration from the crowd was undeniable.

If I’m honest, the DJ section felt a touch long for my taste, especially considering JLS’s stacked discography. But just when I thought the segment was wrapping up, Aston dropped Price Tag, and suddenly Jessie J herself walked out to join them. The arena lost its mind. It turned what could’ve felt like a lull into one of the night’s best surprises.

The energy throughout was peak JLS: high-octane dancing, big vocals, and irresistible charisma. With only one outfit change, they proved you don’t need theatrics to command an arena; you just need talent, chemistry and heart.

I did feel for Aston at times, separated from the others due to his injury. But he was never overshadowed. His vocals were flawless, and at one point he even swung his crutches in the air mid-routine, earning one of the night’s biggest cheers.

The finale, Everybody in Love, was a confetti explosion that felt like it lasted forever; the best kind of sensory overload. As the last chorus hit, the boys (minus Aston) leapt into the pit below, ending the show with the kind of joyful chaos only JLS can create.

If you ever get the chance to see JLS live, take it. As entertainers, performers and vocalists, they truly are the full package, and nights like this prove exactly why they’ve earned their place in the O2’s 21 Club.
