What is the full band line-up, who sings and who plays which instrument? And who are your musical influences?

Jacob Wix (Guitar/Backing Vocals) – Influences include: Alter Bridge, Eric Clapton, Normandie and Periphery.
Ross Shelley-Pilsworth (Bass/Keys) – Influences Include: TOOL, PJ Harvey, Swans and Bjork.
Ethan Larcombe (Drums) – Influences include: Strawberry Lace, Linkin Park, Zack Grooves and Chon.
When and how did the band really start gelling and solidifying?
Kieran, Ross and Jacob had previously been in a band together for many years. Ethan was the final piece of the puzzle, and it really helped SUNMACHINE solidify our sound and become the band we are today.
Where did the name of the band come from?
A lot of stupid suggestions! Then Ross suggested SUNMACHINE as a name because that’s basically what humans are. Machines powered by the sun.
How far back does your history with each other (the band members) extend?
Ross and Jacob have been close friends/band mates for over 11 years now, meeting at sixth form in 2013. They met Kieran not long after and have been making music together for about a decade. Ethan was on introduced to the band about a year ago but has become a great friend and invaluable member of the band very quickly.
In your opinion, how is your band different from all the other bands out there?
There’s a certain sound you can create when you know people THAT well. We basically grew up together and grew as musicians together. We are combining classic ideas with a lot of modern and progressive influences, which will mean that our sound will continue to grow and change at a faster rate than most bands. I think we’ll be very unpredictable.
If a deaf person were to ask you to describe the sound of your music, how would you describe it?
Powerful, melancholic and fierce.
