Review By Darren McIntyre
Triers are a rising Indie / Alt rock 4 – piece based between Shropshire & the West Midlands and are known for their emotionally charged live shows & widescreen sound. The band have toured across the UK & progressed to Round 2 of The Breakout Artist Programme and have built a reputation as one of the most compelling grassroots acts in the country. The band bring us their sizzling new single Home which I will be reviewing for you today.
Home – The thundering beast erupts into life with a crunching guitar riff that is backed with a punchy rhythm section that unleashes cool bass drum kicks that are wrapped in solid snare drum grooves. The vocals weave their way through this rousing beast as a killer, meaty, funk laden low end drops epic funk tones that wrap themselves around this crisp, clean arrangement, the boys are really giving it their all as this toe tapping, fist pumping groover lets the shredding guitar licks leave their mark as the boys set out their stall and give it to us straight. The tempo changes pace a little as the guys shift through the gears and hit us with a fast paced, furious groover track that instantly catches our attention as the funky beats bubble under the surface as they really give us a fun, catchy, beat laden track that just puts a smile on your face with it’s intense, lyrics that really allow the track to grow.
